Purchased Setanta seed potatoes last year for the first time. Excellent, versitile potato. Very srong Haulms, good ground cover, excellent blight resistence and no evidence of slug damage. Had an excellent crop which stored very well(Still using them) . Already purchased this year's seed

An excellent potato. Currently has very good blight resistance, it's inherited the cooking qualities of Rooster (one of its parents) so is great roasted, mashed and fried; no noticed weaknesses to pests and diseases. If you want to try a couple of newish general purpose maincrop potatoes I'd recommend Setanta and Picasso as the best I've tried (of about 50) for yield; cooking, eating and storage qualities; and lack of problems.
